I have always rather liked the early Aprilia wheels.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me there should be plenty in garages and sheds, unusable because the rolled rims have rusted through.
If possible, I would like to look at a project to recondition a batch with newly-made rolled rims as original.
I have an original drawing: does anyone have a rusted wheel to lend me to get this idea going?

Cavalitto has remade Aurelia wheels. Maybe talk to him?

Geoff, I am a repairer and a skinflint when possible. Mostly these wheels will have rusted long before the centres have reached end of life.

can they be repaired ?

But not the rolled-rim ones, unless I missed that.

I am definitely (with Will How, and probably others) in the market for re-rolled-rimming of early Aurelia wheels.

In the mean time, the sample wheel has turned out not to be Aprilia, although what it is, is a mystery ( detail differences in width, offset etc).
So, many thanks indeed to Mike Raahauge for helping, but I am still on the search!

Agree rolled rims a problem. It would be interesting to know the costs involved but so few B10s about it may be for me that the run would be so small as to be uneconomic.
In the good old days when I did a few Historic Alpine Rallies in the B10, I used 2 sets of Flaminia wheels and had the rims cut off and replaced with Rover 3.5L 15” rims so I could use modern rubber. Interestingly I needed fewer balance weights than on my standard wheels. My original standard B10 wheels appear (use the word with caution!) ok at the moment but I still have the rally wheels + tyres stacked in a corner of the garage.
My Augusta had awful rims and I found a place (from memory) in Salisbury which re-spoked the wheels keeping the centres but putting on standard 16” rims for which it is very easy to find tyres.  They said that the 400 rim was difficult to source. Again balancing used less added weights than the original. I calculated the difference in circumference and it was only a few % and I suspect unnoticeable when driving.

Few B10 (and 21, 22, 50) but wouldn't the same rims apply to B20 series 1-4 (early 4 at least), which would widen the potential market considerably.

Below is a possibly useful drawing (credit to GG's Lanciaaurelia.info website). Did S1 Aurelia berlinas and coupes have different width wheels?

B12 also is 165 x 400 Michelin Pilot type as is B24 etc

          I have several S1 Aprilia wheels with rusted out rolled rims but good centres that I could contribute.

         However I am not in need of any for myself at present.
