Hi all.

Just wondering if anyone knows where I could get a replacement friction washer for the choke lever.

Lever wasn’t staying in place and stupidly I snapped the washer when taking it apart.

Any ideas for replacements or alternatives, gratefully received.

Thanks, Michael.

In a few cases the choke lever moves back because there is a problem with the wire cable at the carb end. Check that the cable does not flap back once the lever is fully pushed in. Andrea

Thanks Andrea. Cable at the carb end looks fine. I do think it's the washer and now it's broken…any idea where to get one?

Thanks Chris. Here’s a picture of the washer. It’s about 25 mm in diameter.

Thanks, Michael.

Could you not use a wavy washer something like this?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Metric-A2-Stainless-Steel-Crinkle-Wavy-Washers-M1-6-M3-M4-M5-M6-M8-M10-M12-M16-/371247342679

I assume it is M6?

Thanks, I’ll give it a try. Was just hoping to find an original (however unlikely).

Chris that would be fantastic. No huge rush, so happy to wait.

Really appreciated. Michael.

Hello Michael,
I think this is what you wanted?
If you still require the washer let me have your address and I will clean it up and send it to you when I am next back in the UK on March 8th..
Chris
