At long last the body work is finished and the car is off to the paint shop!

Agree looks really good but why oh why did they save 20Lire by using mild steel for the filler cover!? Also the small panel behind the upper part of the radiator grill.

What a marvellous design! I would love to see more photos of this elegant body. Seeing the shell on the trailer, off to the paint shop, gets me all excited......and it's not even mine   Cheesy

I love these Flavias. In my imaginary garage I have one in silver with a red interior (it's parked beside my imaginary Supersport Z which is Zagato green with a red interior). What is the colour choice?

Once your son's Fulvia Sport is done you'll need an Appia Zagato to complete the set.

I'd be tempted to just polish up that aluminium and not paint it! Go for the P51 Mustang look.

Hello
Some time ago I sent off for respraying the refurbished body shell of my Flavia sport. Meanwhile I made a start on preparing all the other parts of the car for reassembly. I have come across a slightly odd crack in the rear spring which is definitely not one I would have expected - please see attached picture. Firstly I am going to have to replace both springs. Does anyone know of a good manufacturer or alternatively have a serviceable second hand set?

Lastly, out of sheer curiosity does anyone recognise this type of crack in metal and why it would have occurred?

Best wishes
Dave Gee
