I'm selling my lovely blue Ypsilon as I have a new business and a Fulvia 2C to spend my money on!

It's a 1.4 LS (type 840) model in dark blue (like Blu Lancia) with a cream Alcantara interior. It was built in 1996 and imported to the UK very soon afterwards, and obviously it's LHD.  It appears to have been very well looked after in the past by two previous owners, having been serviced at Lancia and BMW specialists and owned by a Lancia collecting family.  The paintwork is still very good, even after 11 years of salty British roads, something the Ypsi wasn't really designed to endure.

During my ownership I've:

1 Had the brakes renewed (new discs, pads, pipes and rear shoes).
2 Replaced one CV joint.
3 Replaced the knee height rub strip on the left side.
4 Replaced the battery.
5 Replaced the original Lancia alloys which were delaminating with very stylish, new Cromodora Abarth 6J x 15 alloys (optional on the Punto Sporting and Forza for £370) shod with new Pirelli P2000s (195 R 50 82V).  These have covered approx 1500 miles since being fitted.  Both sets of alloys and tyres are included with the car, although the originals will need refurbishing.
6 I've attempted to replace the rear wiper motor, only to discover that the one for a Punto, although virtually identical, isn't.

Niggles:

1 Neither of the window motors have worked since I've owned the car, the car has a folding fabric opening roof and the rear windows open out, providing plenty of fresh air.  A bit of pain at toll booths and car parks, but as you're on the left anyway I just get out and walk around!  It's all part of the fun!
2 The rear silencer will need replacing before the next MOT as it now has a hole.
3 Minor corrosion in one spot on both sills, nowhere enough to fail its MOT and I've been advised very easily fixed.
4 It's fitted with a period Sony face-off stereo, the radio works, but I've jammed my iPod adapter in the cassette opening.

The 1372cc SOHC 12 valve engine pulls well and doesn't appear to have any issues, generating 80bhp.  I've had the cambelt checked and confirmed that it has been recently changed. It's covered 190,000 kms, which I believe to be genuine. The lights have been "temporarily modified" (aka Gaffer Tape shapes) to deflect the beam away from the right for the MOT test. It's been to three test centres during my ownership and neither testers have had an issue with either the lights or the KM only speedo.

This is a nice car to drive, smooth, comfortable and easy to park. It's an easy entry route into Lancia ownership, an interesting alternative to any other P reg Eurohatch and always gets lots of attention.  Parts are easily available from any FIAT main dealer (usually next day in my experience) and other Italian car specialists.  Many parts on the Ypsi are common to either Punto, Bravo/a and Barchetta.

The price has now been reduced to just £850 with MOT until June 2009, and the original Lancia alloys which will need refurbing and new tyres.

The car is in Coalbrookdale, Telford (TF8 7ED), 10 mins from the M54.  PM me via the foum or call me on 01952 433497/433066 for a chat.

I've got to say, having been a passenger in it, that the interior is rather special. (I hasten to add that the whole of the car is in good nick, just in case it seems like I'm damning with faint praise!!) Love the alcantara across the breadth of the dash; somehow it has better texture than the leather in mine.
