No Brian, I don't think it's Australia. I think he's just demonstrating how much grip they have!

No HPEs at Betameeta this year, so perhaps you could aim for that in 2020?

Hi @Parisien; I'm sure most of us have now done a handstand to view this nice pic but let me geek in here anyway ...
I can see from the image attributes it was taken on an iPhone. This will then include instructions in the jpg header information regarding any 'auto-rotation' necessary. This means it will orient okay on a compatible (i.e. iOS device) but not others.
Assuming you're working with Windows the best way around this is to copy the image into something simple (like Paint); orient as necessary; and save as another image name. This means the image is correctly oriented but without any OS specific header information and therefore should display fine whatever device a user has.  Smiley

Hi @Neil ... yes that's expected as per my last info. Picture taken with iPhone (=iOS) upside down but is compensated for by extra iOS specific info in a photo's hidden header data instructing auto-rotation This is fine for another iOS device like an iPad or another iPhone but not others devices (e.g. Windows or Android based). Hence why different viewers are experiencing different results.

To avoid this across-devices issue either the photos have to be taken the right way up to start with (which on an Apple device means with volume buttons pointing downwards) ... or a photo has to be stripped of device specific hidden data by copying it to, and saving it with, a very basic editor that excludes such data.

Sorry for the geekathon but this might be useful information in general for folk.  Smiley
