Is the S1 rear window rubber different to the S2? I have an S2 one.

I would say yes, but if I am wrong i am sure someone will tell you

From the parts book (S1 and S2) the S1 p/n is different as are the stainless trim pieces from later S2 parts. I say later... it seems they used up S1 parts for the first 6626 coupes (and upto #2344 HF "deluxe"). Then a new set of parts were introduced (rubber surround, stainless trim pieces). Window glass stayed the same.

So the inference is if an S2 rubber may not accept the earlier trim pieces...

That makes sense. I'll take a pic of the one I have (I may even have two) and perhaps someone can compare to theirs.
