Does anyone have a car in this colour that I could view? I want to repaint my Coupe and like this colour but what with screens and old eyes I would like to see it in the flesh.

I'm still at the stage of being surprise by Google. It must have read the colour name off the back of the swatches in the image on the forum... https://www.lancia.myzen.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=8505.0It also pulled up this thread: https://www.lancia.myzen.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1059.0However Google translate still disappoints. "Gray Tor Di Valle" is NOT the english translation. Anyone with a tad more romance in their veins able to help? I know you wanted to see a real one - but it made me want to see pictures and I was fascinated how long they stuck with that colour name and I assume also shade.

Like a lot of Lancia colours of this period, it is named after a horse racing track. Hippodrome Tor di Valle was an important horse racing venue in the south west of Rome. The name comes from the area in which it was located.

The grey intensity depends on the original name that is related to the horse race track as well as its latitude. Thus, grigio tordivalle (rome) is very light while grigio Doncaster is quite dark. The same criterion applies to red paint colours used by Lancia. Andrea

Ah ha !! It's a horse racetrack... The latitude to intensity is new to me. "Rome, Doncaster, York" always sounds an odd collection of places names. I wonder if in Doncaster one of their proud boasts is that Lancia named a colour after them, but then keep quiet that it was a dark grey. Any help with translations of AZZURRO SAN SIRO, AZZURO LA PLATA and OTTANIO ARCADIA? (from https://www.lancia.myzen.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=7021.msg81257#msg81257)

I resprayed mine Grigio Tor Di Valle last August to take it back to original. Got the paint from BSP Bexleyheath and it was spot on match to what remained under the dash. The car's stored at the moment in Tonbridge Kent you're welcome to take a look if you're able.
