I am going to have battery box covers re-made (amongst other things) and typically Lancia, I believe S1 & S2 are different !

I have an S2 to copy, but does any one have an S1 that I could borrow , even if it is damaged/rusty ??

Thanks

Simon

If you get a battery box cover made for the S1, I would be interested. Unfortunately my wreck came with a lot missing, including the battery box cover, so I cannot help with a pattern.

Among the other missing things are running boards and the rest of the tin ware to go with the battery cover. If you can help on either of these, that would be great.

Might I also ask, should there be a metal box running under the pedals, on the outside? If so, I am missing it, and have no idea what it even looks like. Can you advise please?

Best wishes
Dave

I will try and get some pictures up on the forum later this week.

Simon,
I would be happy to lend you the battery cover from my car, if that would help.
Let me know.

Yes please !

I have found someone to remake the covers at what I think is a reasonable price. If possible, I would like a couple of photos and dimensions to start off with , so will drop you a line

Cheers

 Hi Dave,
I came across this pedal box/cover last evening - so you know what to look for, amongst your parts!
This one is in very good condition, considering where it should normally reside - exposed to the elements and the open road.
Not the one that came with my car. That one resembles a sieve  Grin

Regards,
Tim

Thanks Tim for that as I have very few Aprilia parts and a lot missing as I suspect my car was possibly used as a parts car. (Huh??)

Dave,
I have quite a lot of spare parts, some of which are series 1 and some are series 2.
You are are certainly welcome to come & look through, depending on how far from me that you live.
Please feel free to message me if that would help.

I am sorry but due to new restrictions and uncertainties following Brexit, mainly to do with VAT & duties, I am going to have to abandon this project (and others) for the time being

The problem arises from my living in France and having anything made in the UK will now have import duties applied and it makes these projects nonviable

Hopefully there may be a way round this in the future, but at the moment it is too complicated

I bought a reproduction battery box cover from Giolitti for my SII a few years and was gratified to find that it fit perfectly. They may do for the SI, too. Peter
