EDIT:   I am making some improvements to this car, and putting it back onto the UK register.     The car is not currently advertised outside this forum and the Beta forum.   The price will in due course go up, but I'm willing to sell at a discounted price to an LMC member.  The description below is as at 16 03 21 but will change.

I am very fond of this, my fifth Beta, BUT....
I have just bought a 1975 2000 HF Coupe, and am therefore putting my Beta up for sale.

This is a pre facelift car in Windsor Metallic Bronze with mustardy yellow cloth seats.    The car belonged to a Mr and Mrs Garland who bought it in Aberdeen, and took it to the Isle of Man in 1983.  It came back to the UK in 2016/17 and I bought it in 2017 from a Ford enthusiast who had not used it. The late Mr Garland was, by the way, a much decorated hero of WW2 who appears to have had a very interesting life (Commando, Spitfire pilot, POW, escapee, Partisan).

Mechanical

MOT to September 2021
Probably (but not warranted) genuine mileage approx 51000
Aldon Amethyst digital ignition map with rev limiter and immobiliser 2021
Carb refurbed  2021
Cam belt changed 2017
New exhaust mid section 2021
Fuel pump 2017
Fuel tank flushed and painted 2021
Fuel lines and filter 2021
Fuel level sender inop - replacement arrived and to be fitted.
Oil temp gauge inop, oil pressure, coolant, and battery gauges all working
New clutch 2020
Manual transmission and brakes in good order
New coil and HT leads, new battery 2020, car starts easily
Smooth, quiet, fast, handles and stops as a Beta should

All work since 2017 done by an experienced professional mechanic.

Electrics

All lights working inside and out
Wipers working on two speeds, washer working, both operated from dash switch because stalk broken
Fan and heater working
Rear demister works well
12v socket working
Clock working
No stereo ever fitted as far as I know

Exterior

Ziebarted from new, probably garaged while on IOM, garaged in my ownership
Evidence of previous welding to boot lid and front wings, welded in my ownership at suspension turrets and lower panels near offside arches
Paint generally good - two areas near offside arches need top coat after welding repairs (painting in hand)
One small crease on nearside lower panel behind door (parking rash) - not very noticeable (repair in hand)

Small area of light crazing on roof (to be remedied)
Overall the car presents well
Cromodora wheels, Pirelli P1 Cinturatos 2021, good spare tyre
Lancia and 1600 bootlit badges with car (to be refitted)
Underside appears OK but would benefit from some cleaning and protection of suspension components and subframes.

Interior

Dashboard good - not cracked
Headlining good
Seats - driver's seat worn through at bolster, rear headrests worn through by sunlight - the car is fitted with good quality made to measure vinyl seat covers, and there is a spare seat cushion in the original fabric for patching
Carpets good, good quality over-mats
Door vinyl good, cloth inserts complete

Spares

Rear windows, tail lights, seat cushion, headlamp surround

Tools and papers

Complete original tool kit in original box
Jack, tyre wrench

IOM registration papers  (DVLA will return car to its original UK T registration on application)
Owner's handbook
Original warranty and service book
1980s letters from Lancia UK to Mr Garland, 1980s notebook with service notes
Brochure
Haynes Manual

I am asking £10,000 on carandclassic and eBay, but will sell for £8000 to an LMC member.  Location: South Oxfordshire, five minutes from junction 6 M40.  Driving for recreation and/or to see a car is legal, and there is no distance rule in England, so come and see this pretty Beta!
