My Fulvia now has a running engine. As part of the rebuild a modern diaphragm clutch was fitted and a new release bearing. The problem I have is that the engine will not start unless the clutch is depressed, the starter struggles to turn it over. Worse is that once started, if I release the clutch with the gearbox in neutral the engine stops. The box seems ok and was before the rebuild. Any ideas?

Sounds like an alignment issue with the change over of parts?

Its not the winning but taking part! or is it taking apart?
