Welcome back to a new year of endurance racing, the IMSA Sportscar Championship being the only series to feature races less than 4 hours in duration, referred to by them as a sprint race, which they have done for many years. And it is to IMSA we turn to first, with the qualifying race for the 24 hours of Daytona, the only time I will likely post up qualifying for a race, it being unique amoungst these series of races, as far as I am aware. The 24 hour race itself is next weekend; 29 - 30 January. "Roar before the 24" Sunday 23 January Replay here.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYd-iB20BXgAll bar one of my chosen race series seem to have returned to their pre-pandemic race-track location/dates, only the Asian Le Mans Series (ALMS) have decided again to run all 4 races in February in the United Arab Emirates, as they did in 2021. |
