This is a somewhat left field and needle in haystack enquiry...!
 
I am researching charabanc operators from the 1920's on the Isle of Wight. A company on the Island, Messrs Pink Bros of Totland owned and operated a 3 axle Lancia charabanc during the twenties and despite having a few photos of the machine (which was incredibly stylish for the era), we dont have a registration.
 
Long shot, but would you be able to assist in trying to identify this rarity? Is there a database of such vehicles maybe - or if you could suggest someone who has some knowledge of these vehicles who may be able to assist, I would be really grateful.
 
A photograph is attached in the slim hope the vehicle can be identified.

Fascinating. I wonder if it was a local adaptation or a special order chassis from Lancia. The Omicron triple decker is the only 3 axle Lancia bus I can think of and I seem to recall they were a special order.
