Jason Kennedy races at Goodwood tomorrow
« on: 09 April, 2022, 11:11:09 PM »

Had a glorious day watching Jason practice, alas can't join them tomorrow but will watch the livestream when I can.

Not sure if its a fresh link tomorrow - but I've been able to "wind the clock back" 11 and a bit hours to catch a bit of his practice.

Nice rear 3/4 photo at St Mary's ?
Does it still roll as much as when you drove it around there David?
Where has engine 2505 been over the years?

Car is massively stiffer than when I had it.  The photo to show that is from the year I did the VSCC Pom.  I was pictured in Motor Sport and its on its door handles but with lots and lots of droop travel on the inside wheels.

That engine went in the car in the 1970s when Stuart Gross started racing.  Might have come from Harry.  J&K know a little more, but I can't remember the detail.

Just realised on the board of photos the middle one is me at the Manx Classic, and its ROLLING.   It always felt too stiff on the road, but even on those tyres you can see nothing like stiff enough to race.  As it was mostly a road car I regretted the cam shaft change, and that on A roads as much as pottering round Lewisham.  It just wasn't happy in 4th at 50 and just wanted the boot in the whole time.  J&K don't mind it that stiff on the road, and I think DO keep the boot in the whole time :)

As you have experience of this car do you have related info in your archive David? Unpublished photos which may have become more interesting with the passing of time?

I'll have a rummage.  I realise it was now a lifetime ago.
