 Whilst jacking up the car to work on the front brake hoses the reinforced jacking point gave way!
 The two pronged section collapsed and bent at right angles to the sill but stayed attached.
 I've found these stainless steel reinforcement sections on an Italian website, however, I don't know if this is the best way forward.
 Any advice would be appreciated.

My understanding is that it’s best never to use the “official” jacking points at the front (the ones the standard scissor jack are meant to be used on) as they are usually corroded on UK Fulvias.

The workshop manual shows a jacking point at the foremost part of the subframe in the middle. I believe it’s also possible to use the next front subframe crossmember in the middle under the engine/gearbox. The rear axle has an obvious oblong steel plate in the middle. If you don’t have a decent trolley jack it is an excellent investment, along with axle stands of course!
