I am delighted to let you know that the Adwell Vintage Vehicle Show, which was such fun and so popular last year, will be held on Sunday, 10 July 2022 from 12:00 midday to 5:00 pm. The postcode for the show is OX97DQ.
The show is kindly sponsored by JSQ Farm Enterprises Ltd and promises to be great fun and I hope that many of you will have very interesting cars, motorbikes, bicycles and other machinery which you will want to show off around the lakes at Adwell. If not, it will certainly be worth coming to see what is on display, and the people who own them!
We have many entries already, but certainly my favourite so far is Amazing Grace, a totally original and fully operational 1957 Green Goddess Fire Engine. I am going to try to get the owners to get the pumps going and pump one lake into another which should be exciting!
Amongst other excitements, Electrogenics, who convert classic cars into electric cars will be with us showing some of their conversions, and we have plenty of food and drink stalls, the Crown Pub and fun fair entertainment for the younger generation.
Most importantly, this year all proceeds from the Show will go to the Footsteps Centre in Dorchester-on-Thames. Footsteps provides remarkable therapy for children with neurological conditions, and we know that every penny we raise will be spent in helping these children to improve their lives.
