Refurbishing alloys

My Delta 1.3 has the wonderful original fit Cromodora alloys, but time has taken its toll and there is kerbing damage and no doubt some laquer damage as well.  Anyone know where I mgiht get them refurbished, and what sort of cost I might be looking at?  Alternatively, anyone got some pristine replacements - I'm happy to buy one at a time, since unused spare wheels are likely to be my best source, I imagine?

I considered these guys http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/ when I was looking at what to do with the Ypsi's originals.  They're in Erdington.  I'm led to believe there's a good place somewhere in Ketley, but I've never been able to find it.  Apparently it's behind the Churchbridge Citroen.

Hi Chris,
I used a Company down here in Bedfordshire at Woburn sands to refurbish the wheels on my Y10 GTie a couple of years ago, it cost about £50 a wheel and they were very careful to maintain the highlights in the recesses, not sure I like bead or any other type of blasting as you totally lose the original look of the wheels, this company actually machines the face of the wheel and the re-laquers them.
If you want further details I'll hunt out their card.

Brian - thanks for the tip.  They look to have done a good job in retaining the original finish and look of the wheels, which is what I want to achieve.  Would appreciate the contact details.  I'm also following up Lee's tip from Erdington, which is very close to me, though their website seems to suggest that their finishes are all a bit 'modern'....

Hi Chris,
I used http://www.wheelstyles.co.uk/ just North of Bristol. £70 each. Good job done and you can see the pictures on gallery on page 4. Richard Carr has also taken a set there to be done. You can see 'em on Sunday and they look nice an original now - they were pretty bashed with a few flat spots.

This company is called Pristine Wheels.  I visited them about getting a wheel straightened (roundened).  They showed me some wheels they were doing that day and I was mightily impressed.  But they are expensive!

Whether their laquer falls off refurbished Dedra wheels, I have no idea.  But it can't be as bad as the original finish

i can vouch for pristine wheels, i use them with my business, we often have people needing wheels refurbed and found many cheaper companies than prestine but not the same standard of work
