Mystery Switches
« on: 02 March, 2023, 03:25:16 PM »
Hi ,
I know this  seems a bit lame , however , just picked up a RH Series 3 , and there are 2 dash pull switches which I just don't know what they do  , the handbook says the  on the drivers side of the heater controls is ..... "Available switch on sport - rear window regulator motor control )  I  haven't a clue what that is, and the other which is not shown in the handbook is directly below and next to the vent , and again no idea .
Can anyone please put me straight or give me a clue on these.
Thanks

The one next to the fan switch may be the heated rear windscreen. The one below may be a spare or may be hazard warning if fitted (more usually it is the left hand side and has a red ring). Fulvias for the UK market were also wired to switch the inner "driving lights" and main beam was via an H4 bulb on the outer lamp. BTW It is a Fulvia 3!!
Its not the winning but taking part! or is it taking apart?

Thanks , shall follow up the heated rear screen , didn’t notice any elements in the screen , but shall see if it warms up . Hazard lights are to the left of the vent, so it’s a case of working out what one on the right does  , shall investigate any link to lights .

The one that mentions rear window regulator on sport is for the rear tailgate motor on the Sport Zagato. The rear tailgate lifts a few inches at the flick of a switch, really nice feature

The heating elements on the rear screen are extremely fine and easy to not notice!

The heating filaments are in the glass not on the glass, it is a laminated screen.

Strangely on my Coupe the pull switch to the right of the vents was the main beam on/off switch, not very handy at all but I did not bother to change it.
