Hello! I hope you can help me with this: In which of the tubes should I route the wires from the indicator/main beam switch? The big tube (#1), or the little tube (#2)

I would use the smaller tube assuming it is open all the way through to the engine bay. It looks as though the column gearshift may have been removed at some stage. Running it in the larger section would run the risk of the cable getting tangled up with the steering column. Brian

Thank you Brian!
Of course! I didn’t think this through😗 The car has a Nardi floor shift, and it didn’t occur to me that the larger hole is for the column change! The small hole goes all the way through to the engine bay.
The four wires on the indicator/ dip switch were originally Red, D. blue, Purple and white. Does anybody know the correct connections for these? It’s not clear from the wiring diagram.

I have seen a few 3rd/4th series B20s where the wires inside the steering column casting run inside a piece of narrow rigid conduit . Ref the connections on the indicator switch, isn't it obvious if you look carefully at the lever switch action. Worth double checking the springs and ball bearings are all there while it's on the bench. Chris

Thank you Chris Sounds like it could be a could idea to wrap the four wires in a heat shrinkable rubber tubing and then guide it into the tube.
Yes, you are right, I should be able to figure out the wires with the switch on the bench. I have cleaned everything, and checked the springs etc.
By the way, the wires controlling the indicators goes to a "indicator light device", according to the workshop manual. I don't have this device, you wouldn't have a spare Chris?

I am in the UK for a couple of weeks now so today, needing a 'garage fix' I went for a ride in our 1at srs B20.. Whilst getting it out I espied 2 steering column aluminium castings. On Inspection they both have 2 small D clips inside. One near the top and the other near the bottom about 25 mm in. These can only be to locate they wiring away from the rotating tubular rod. In Italy i am sure I have one original example of the inner wiring conduit with wires in it so presumably this will show where the D clips originally held it? And sorry, no I don't have a changeover box. They are expensive.....if you can find one!

Yes, that's the one. I wonder how much they are asking? I will ask an Italian friend of mine if he has one available. .Chris

Thank you Chris! According to their eBay-listing they are asking 1500€ for it. But another vendor asks 700€…

My friend can't help at the moment. They are expensive aren't they? At least with Rubino you know if will work as their workmanship is good. Chris.
