Doing some repairs after an engine fire in my 73 2000HF.  Does anyone have experience fitting a 123 distributor to an HF?  Omicron says they can supply one.  Aside from eliminating the points what would be the other advantages?

Fitted to a Flavia 2000 coupe with Kugelfisher. Better spark, ability to adjust advance curves (limited), and likely cleaner running at higher RPM. In other Lancias, we've had not such good luck with reproduction points (not quite as "springy" as originals), and so these electronic systems are more accurate.

When (if) you order, make sure to identify the bottom keying configuration - they varied.

I fitted a Pertronix system to my Flavia a few years ago and it has been faultless. Really easy starting and smoother running at all revs.

So did I, 16000km ago. Works well particularly at higher revs and smoother idling. Make sure your leads are in good condition.
Nonetheless, I still have the original points and baseplate in the glovebox!

My lad fitted one from this company to his Hillman Imp, simple to fit and apart from one breakdown where the wire came off it's been faultless. Fit and forget rather than having to clean and adjust points.
They don't list Lancia but maybe worth an ask?
