Hello Torstein. In fact they are not the ones recommended by Chris. I think those ones may be ok for drivers side but don't have enough movement to use on passengers side. The ones I used are sometimes seen fitted to Ferrari Dino. I'll look for a link for you.

My mistake - sorry! I obviously didnt look closely enough at the photo.
Having said that, I have only ever fitted one mirror to our Aurelias, always on the drivers door whether LHD or RHD apart from Jacky's B24S Convertible which as 2 mirrors - one clamped to each quarterlight.

Hello again Torstein. This is the mirror that I used:

https://autobellaparts.com/products/classic-alfa-romeo-spider-105-ferrari-246-250-275-330-365-porsche-wing-mirror?_pos=3&_sid=1b2138e16&_ss=r

Then I also used an adhesive convex mirror the same diameter stuck onto the flat mirror - 100mm, which gives you a much wider view:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252547548344

Obviously that's in the UK but I'm sure available elsewhere. The big advantage of this mirror is that you can use it on the passengers side if you wish.

I'm not keen on the idea of using self tapping screws to fix the mirror, but you can't get to the other side of the area of the door where it's fixed, at least on my 3rd series. I used steel rivnuts, I think 4mm, and they worked well. Rivnuts are a bit risky as you have one go at fixing them in place. If you haven't used before maybe practice on a bit of scrap steel first. Also slightly complicated by the curve of the panel.

I have always used these. I am not sure who makes them (Lucas?) but they have been generally commonly available. They have a small footprint and can be mounted just forward of the doors, where the underneath nut can be easily reached. Also they come convex or flat, and can pivot out for the far side if you want.
