Fulvia Gearbox

Just some quick advice, I’ve got my subframe out with my engine and was looking at my gearbox, do they suffer from any problems? And is it worth doing anything to it while I have access to it? And what’s the best way to preserve the subframe power coat or paint? Thanks

Re Gearbox (4 or 5 speed?) do the driveshaft output seals and the input shaft needle roller and 2 little oil seals (or maybe one depending how early a box is). If 5 speed look at the change rod bushes and seals - probably worn I replace the nylon bushes with sintered bronze...

I would go for powder coat, then cover it inside and out with schuss.

I’m not sure as I bought the car running but not driving, but it’s fairly low mileage.
