Just thought I'd pass on the contact details of the people who have helped fix my Appia's cylinder head:
ATM Vapour Blasting, Hereford
http://www.atmvapourblasting.co.uk/Thoroughly cleaned the head for £30.
Concept Racing, Ross-on-Wye
https://conceptracing.co.uk/Milled out the corroded areas (there were a lot) and filled with new aluminium for £72. They can also weld magnesium and titanium.
Frank Dawson Engineering, Hereford
http://www.dawsonengineering.co.uk/A great old-style machine shop. Sorted out how to mount the head, milled down the welds and skimmed it for £120. They say a normal head skim would be £60.
