Why don’t people specify a torch?

If you can’t see what you’re trying to fix how can you fix it!

Personally I like a high quality rechargeable LED head torch. Even when I’m working in my well-lit garage I almost always wear my Olight when I’m doing anything on the car.

There is an earlier thread on this forum on what spares to take on a European trip but dont forget there is a sort of 'Murphys Law' which operates in the sense that the more spares you take the less likely it is that you need them.
I cant find the earlier thread just at the moment but I will look again later.
Chris
On most of our trips abroad  including I drive to Portugal, and 2 to Turin, I always took a lot of spares, particularly the Portugal trip, I've only ever had 2 punctures and a broken bonnet release cable! So I think as far as we were concerned, Murphy's Law was working a treat!
Rather than carrying a couple of spare plugs I always carried a complete set of new ones.

I'd skip number 12, especially if travelling to Italy.

I realise ' purchase price paid' has some relevance here but I have to say that I would be disappointed to have to do so much remedial work on a car that I was told had been restored properly.......and I dread to think of what my wife would have said!!
I wonder whether you bought it from a dealer or was it a private purchase?
Anyway the main thing is that you are happy now and that it drives well.

It is a nice car and most of the list is in my opinion "nice to have" and personal to the owner - nothing wrong with that. There seems to be one or two peculiar restoration oddities but this would not be the first Fulvia to have been restored with only secondary attention to the mechanicals...

Its not the winning but taking part! or is it taking apart?
