I have engine No 12569, manufactured 2 2 50, originally fitted to a Farina coupe.  I bought it from Julian Bolton in the early 70s.  He had bought it from one Ivan(?) and put it in his Frazer Gnash.  A few years ago the owner of the Farina car wrote to me to request the engine back but, selfishly, I declined and put it in my 1938 sedan.  It proved to be clapped and in need of a total rebuild.  I decided in the end to put its Nardi slightly domed pistons in my old, Harry modified 1300 block bored out to fit along with its 2nd series flywheel and clutch.  On top of this I have put a new head and valve gear that I bought from Autoricambi Cavalitto in, I think, 1971 on a Lambda trip in Old Boot (or f*rting Annie as she then was). I have also kept the Nardi twin carb. manifold.  This means that the engine less pistons and flywheel is now available to be returned to its original home.  If anyone knows where the Farina Aprilia is now, then please let me know.
