Volumex Oil Pressure Sensor

I had an issue with the pressure sensor - no reading on the dash, investigation showed the VX is the same sensor as for a  Thema Turbo and Fiat 127 (and, I think, Fiat Croma Turbo)
OEM Part numbers :  Oil Pressure Sensor 5971468 - 82387236 - 82353871

I ordered one from eBay from Taiwan, fitted it and it’s working. As old stock I guess there is always a risk of a faulty part, but at the price this is great value. (£40 Inc shipping.) You can search the OEM part numbers for other suppliers.

The VX oil pressure switch next to the sensor provides an interlock to the fuel pump relay, and looking at the history of my it has had several. On Ebay they sell the wrong switch (wrong thread and length of thread). If it fails then the fuel pump will not work when the engine is running.

Yes- I bought a replacement switch and fitted at the same time - though the old one was working- I assume  most VX have working switches to start else bypassed.

Diagram of the switch which fixes the sensor to the engine.
