Window Rubbers Quality. ALL SORTED NOW. THANK YOU.
« on: 17 November, 2024, 10:58:43 PM »
Hello all.... again !!

Does anybody have any experience of fiting replacement front or rear screen / window rubbers ?

Are the ones you can buy accurate ? A good fit ?

Are there good ones AND better ones ?

Any guidance or advice would be really appreciated.

Thank you.  :)

I am currently restoring a Aprilia, and haven’t done this job. However I have been told by various of UK experts not to waste money on the expensive Italian front and rear seals, but use the standard S type you can purchase from Woollies or Phoenix Trim. Go for the mid-size as it’s easier to manipulate around the corners, I believe you can purchase or ask for samples, plus it can be glued.

I have used the Cicognani seals in the past. If you want the car to look original I think it's the only choice as they fit much better in the corners.

Thank you Jay. That's another option to look at.

Thank you SimonandJuliet. I hadn't heard of those before, I'll certainly take a look. Totally new to Lancia, LOTS to learn about who supplies what and which is the most sensible buy.

Thank you Sliding Pillar. Recommendations are so useful to me at this stage.
