There is an engine advertised in this months VL. Said to be 1970 but could be a late S1?

Many thanks.

Just checked the engine damage, resulting from smashed No 2 exhaust valve

Damaged head (302) + exhaust valve + stuck valve guide +  piston (have another with good rings - very minor sleeve scoring.

All in all, not too bad. Hopefully, I've sourced a 302 head. If not, would be good to know if someone has a good condition, complete head?

Re 302 head you may not be aware that the 302 casting was used for a variety of engines up to the latest 303. Also heads have to have their matching cam/rocker supports as they were line bored as a set with the head by the factory....
Its not the winning but taking part! or is it taking apart?
