Hi all.

I seem to have a weep from the rear brake bias valve. It's only a little so far and may be coming from the large brass end and what appears to be a copper washer under it. The brass part has two holes in it, possibly for use as a means of tightening it.

Is this common, should I just try and tighten it? How tight? Standard thread?

I'll monitor it for a few days before meddling.

Thanks

If your car is LHD I have a new old stock Fiat one, unused. I needed a RHD one.

I've yet to try to tighten the large brass end, finished work now so I'll make a tool and have a go tomorrow. If no success I'll be  in touch.

If it is the valve on S2/3 Coupes triggered by the rear axle they are the same for RHD and LHD cars

I had one that had the fixing holes and the brake pipe holes on opposite sides making it impossible to fit.

I presumed it was for a left hand drive car, maybe for a completely different car?

Tried tightening the brass end cap but couldn't get any movement. Am tempted to remove the part from the car, remove the brass end and the sealing copper washer, anneal the copper, check the surfaces and reassemble.

The risk is that it may still leak, then I'll have to do it again with a new part. Or just fit a new one.

In my experience the brake limiter valve can only be replaced. It is the same for LHD and RHD Fulvias.
