Sump oil pickup cap screws
« on: 30 December, 2024, 08:47:26 PM »
Hello,

Long shot… I’ve misplaced the 2 sets of 2 cap screws that attach the oil pickup to the crankcase.

I don’t suppose anyone knows their length? They are m6 x 1 thread.

Also, if anyone has a sump available with the drain hole at the rear rather than the middle and its pickup, I’d be interested.

Many thanks,

Jon

I have a set of those cap screws from when I dismantled a 302 engine last year. I'll try to locate the baggie i put them in. Also have a sump in very good condition with no broken fins. Will check out where the plug is.

Many thanks, much appreciated! I think the ones that attach on the bracket at the end of the tube are shorter..

The bracket set screws also have a shorter head.
Its not the winning but taking part! or is it taking apart?

Sorry but my spare sump has the oil drain in the middle. I have a spare strainer and pick up if you need one.

Did any model of Fulvia have the sump other than in the middle of the sump?
Both my series 1 Coupe and My 2c Berlina both have a central drain plug.
Never found it a problem myself?

Earlier Fanalone 1.5HF had a larger (sand cast) sump with the drain to the rear. Fulvia 3 saw the introduction of a different (investment cast) sump from standard with marginally more capacity and a drain plug at the rear.
