Oil drain plug
« on: 24 January, 2025, 06:29:57 PM »
Good evening, Could anyone advise me of the dimensions of, or better still, a supplier, for the oil drain plug on the underside of the crankcase. I have measured the hole with cheap digital calipers and I don’t arrive at a sensible number in metric or imperial! Any help gratefully received.

I probably have a spare, I will look over the weekend. If no spare I can certainly measure it for you.

That would be great, many thanks. I spent a good while on the internet trying to find something but to no avail. I am just about to start rebuilding an engine I bought as several boxes of bits and have just had repairs to the block and head done. It’s all new to me but interesting!

Hello Chris,
The tread is M30 X 1,5.  the Hex for the tool is 22 mm. Instead of a copper gasket, I use an O-ring as seal.
