Flavia Berlina Injection 1.8 1968 - Front Bench Seat Repairs
« on: 20 February, 2025, 02:05:25 PM »
Folks,
I recently branched out from Alfa Romeo to Lancia ownership and have an excellent 1968 Flavia Berlina Injection (working Kugelfischer, which Omicron recently re-titivated).
The car has the pale grey wool interior (seats/door cards). However, the front bench (column shift model) seat needs recovering.
Some eejit put his thumb though it while working under the dash......er me. It is/was rather worn and thin.

Can someone point me to the right fabric to recover this?
I see a couple of grey wool fabrics advertised in Italy, but they look like earlier Lancia fabrics, thicker, similar to West of England cloth.
Is the correct fabric available or no?

Can the seat base be remade (its not too bad but is starting to crumble).
Who can be trusted as an upholster to refashion the seats? I am in the NW of England and TBH, the options are poor.
Can anyone point to to the materials and/or someone with a decent track record or working on similar projects.

Appreciate any pointers
Stuart

Hi
I won't be of much help I'm afraid however, there is a guy on Youtube I follow who is just getting the seats on his Flavia berlina recovered , I think it is the same model as yours, he is using some people in Poland who have a wide range of options...probably not "factory" of course...sorry...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-y_z1LvcHM
I need my front seats in my 2000HF sorted as well and will be using a guy in Edinburgh who has come recommended....you can see the splits in some of my videos!
