Fulvia Dashboard Lighting
« on: 06 April, 2025, 01:30:34 PM »
Hi all,

The lighting that illuminates my dash dials is absolutely terrible so I was thinking about changing the standard festoon lamps for LED versions. Has anyone done this and if so, is it an improvement?

Cheers, Martyn.

I have not used LED bulbs but a good condition reostat can restore brightness

Personally I only use LEDS for the green indicator lights. I don't like instruments "in my face" at night. As you get older your eyes need all the help they can get and modern badly designed head lights don't help but as Richard said if the electrics are not degraded the panel lighting is fine.
Its not the winning but taking part! or is it taking apart?

I've had good results with leds behind the dials. I didn't change the lamps behind the indicators, handbrake warning etc as they seem bright enough. The rheostat still sort of works but I leave them on full brightness which is about right. Before the change I could barely make out the dials. I got the lamps from classiccarleds. I'll see if I can find a photo.

Think it was these in warm white. Would suggest you check before ordering.
