I draw the attention of the court to page 94 of the March 2009 issue of Classics Monthly, where our very own chugga boom adorns a double page photographic spread with his Appia.  Dig those trousers... Shocked

I also was intrigued to  read the article and see Chugga in his duds, got the last copy from our local newsagent, excellent article, but I can't understand the comments about his apparel Huh?

Not too long ago it would have been considered the height of fashion Grin

As for that smile, must have had ladies swooning all over the place.

I hope this scanned picture (if it uploads) does Chugga justice, its the trousers that need restoration not the car!

Can't understand all the fuss, his mum obviously bought them with his next growth spurt in mind.

Either that or he got dressed in the dark!

I used to have strides like that - I remember them as 'German army surplus' and must have had half a doz pairs.  I still have some of the pockets as spanner pouches.  Alas 'army surplus' shops have gone the way of scrap yards and other such beacons of civilisation and I have to make do with some kiwi walking trous called "crag hoppers" which don't wear at all well.  Guess I still have trousers very much like that...  At least mine are available in "short" sizes.  The last of the surplus had draw strings I think.

By the way - nice article - love the colour combo of the car - and a fantastic job you made of it.
