Thought you might like to see a picture of an Augusta being restored in Croatia for which I have supplied various parts.

I think that's the first I've seen with bolt on wires. Were they common?

Yes, on early standard cars in UK instead of solid discs, this being a late standard should have pressed slotted wheels but at the time I could only supply bolt on wires, these were rebuilt in UK and swapped for a 9th series Lambda chassis which is now in Switzerland.

no definitely Augusta bolt ons, I had a 1934 Early Standard from which these wheels came and my 1933 car has the same type. Belna ones are a bit different as they do not take the Lancia hub caps fitted to this style of bolt on. All very confusing.

Those early standard saloon front wings fitted to what appears to be a late car (with waist moulding and sloping radiator shell) gives me a strange feeling of deja vu! I do hope that his n/s front chassis leg isn't bent too!

Looks like a sunshine roof too. Does anyone have one that works? BLD 729 orignally had a sunshine roof which we sealed up to avoid it dripping down the back of your neck when the sunshine stopped and the rains came.
