Surfing the net for anything Dilambda related and came across a mention that a Dilambda appears in The Yellow Rolls Royce. Purchased a copy on Ebay and sure enough there it was! 

The 1964 film tells the travels and travails of a Yellow Rolls Royce through three ownerships. The second is an American gangster (George C Scott) who is being encouraged by the salesman to take the Dilambda making mention of its Mussolini connections. His moll however (Shirley MacLaine) favours the Rolls and he buys that instead. Poor choice in my view!

Not a scintillating 2 hour watch despite a stellar cast, although the Rolls is very easy on the eye and of course in almost the same colour scheme as Modestine. It could easily be a Carlton body too.

Is this the one with Rex Harrison, Moira Lister, and Peter Ustinov, to name but a few,   the last time I saw this I wasn't into Lancia's, so the Dilambda didn't register and for the life of me I can't remember George C Scott or Shirley McLaine being in it either.

British Pathe have put their archive film onto http://www.britishpathe.com/index.php and you can happily waste several evening digging.  But if you get excited watching a couple of policmen sitting in a Flaminia in the rain, President Gronchi arriving to open the 1956 Turin Show in what looks like a Stabilimenti Farina Astura, a Fulvia and a Flavia in the 1966 Monte Carlo Rally and so on....... just put 'lancia' into the search box.

Just been doing my night owl bit and watched a film on BBC 2, 1200- 1.40am, called "Massacre in Rome" with Richard Burton, Leo McKinstry and Anthony Steel, all playing German Officers.
Based on a true story (that I've Read recently), in March 1945 the Partisans in Rome killed 33 Germans with a Bomb, and the Germans shot 330 Italians as a reprisal.
 Spotted twice driving past, was an Augusta with wartime style white paint all along the mudguards.

       If you are into Italy and Romance with the [b]nuova Delta[/b] in a major role then take a look at 'Letters to Juliet' starring Amanda Seyfried and Vanessa Redgrave. A fluffy modern romance but seeing the Delta being driven around the countryside near Sienna made it worthwhile. Beats the other star, a Fiat 500, easily! On Sky Box Office at present and I believe on DVD already, it only came out in May.

"Angels and Demons", the recent-ish film based on another book by Dan Brown (wash mouth out with soap and water!), has a nuova Delta appear a fair amount. It's a Rome Police Officer's car.

I am not a big film fan, but I watched "Angels and Demons" simply because it has a nuova Delta in it.  I thought that the film was really rather good!

I'd rather be in the Flaminia than the DS... the Flam comes out of the impact quite well I thought, but comparing head-on to a 90 degree side impact probably isn't fair.

Yes I thought the PF came out of it quite well, very spectacular how the DS's bolt on panels detached themselves.

Mind, if that had been in the UK the b--- -y police would have shut the road for 3 days for investigations, as appears to be their wont after every accident these days, always admired the French for the way they do a quick look around and then push everything to the side and let the traffic flow, with hardly a cone or barrier in sight, while they sort out the details.

That's exactly the same clip as I found yesterday on youtube and posted under the heading "surely not".  Weird that!

It's been a while since anyone has posted on here and it just so happens that I can now add to it.

The Consequences Of Love (Le conseguenze dell'amore) is worth a watch in its own right.
Admittedly it's slowly paced, but the sound-track is good and there's a Gamma to be seen!
And yes it's Italian with English sub-titles.
