I'd forgotten the Hesketh teddy logo.

Tonight Wednesday BBC1 'Munich' ,spotted a parked silver Fulvia Coupe in Italy as well as a series 2 Fulvia Berlina, no doubt there were more but that's all that caught my eye.
I may be wrong but I'm fairly sure I saw a Silver ? Flaminia PF parked up in Paris.

Turned over to Film 4 (Freeview 15) just after midnight to find a film that wasn't shown in the weekly TV guide in the Daily Mail, it was called 'The Arrival of Wang' , it was Italian with English subtitles and was about an Alien come to earth, the only thing of note was the appearance of a Thesis!
Has anyone else seen this one?

In the trailer for Rush (mentioned above) Nicky Lauda is driving some friends in a Flavia/2000 saloon and is egged on to show some aggressive driving in it!

Did he really have one?

I was in the cinema the other night (watching Alpha Papa) and impulsively said 'oooh, Lancia' when I saw this...

(watch trailer on http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=GEnQ7JOoaj0#t=16)

The Flavia sequence in the film Rush is a big grin moment!! Also think I saw the nose of a Flaminia parked at one of the scenes at the pits.

Thought the film a good watch but the lung hoovering almost made me throw up. I am a bit squeamish bit it was so real you were with Lauda the whole way through....probably the most horrible thing I have seen on film and definitely not entertainment!!!

Last night "Letters to Juliet" with Vanessa Redgrave in a romantic story, (tear Jerker) with a happy ending, searching for a lost love from her youth in Italy, filmed in Verona and Sienna, and featured a Dark Blue new Delta as the rental car they were driving around in for at least an hour through some lovely scenery.

Last night on TV a programme about when the IRA Kidnapped Shergar the famous racehorse, 10 minutes from the end I'm pretty sure I spotted a Beta Berlina parked after the gate on the left hand side as police vehicles were exiting the farm/stud, from where he was taken.

I was 13!!!!

Some things have changed so much whilst others not so. 8mph in the centre of many large towns at certain times of the day is still a totally unrealisable dream !!!!

Look at the construction sites, not a hard hat, steel toe cap boot or a fluorescent jacket in sight.

As for design standards on the motorway itself, no central reserve barrier, no impact protection for bridge piers or abutments. The hard shoulders are of minimum construction and not a piece of armco to help prevent errant vehicles from careering down embankments ......... all of this and no speed restriction!!! Oh, and of course 'one for the road' was simply the done thing!!!

Freer times, but not, I think, the good old days!!
