Thanks for the tip. I visited John Sims last week  -  a delightful retired gent who is completing the restoration of a S2 Aprilia. He also has a Jensen 541R and a vintage s/c Lea Francis in his stable.

Twenty years ago he bought the Aprilia spares cache accumulated by the late Norman Wilson at Cromer (I think). His apprentice had been left the stuff on Norman's death and was selling it all. I recall going up there in 1988 to buy S2 Aprilia wheels since my S1 wheels had completely rusted through on the rolled bead on the rim. Evidently John bought the rest.
