Askings one thing, getting the asking price is another, seems to be a lot of talking up the value of integrales going on at the moment. and no leather!
That said, it does look like a nice one.

Trouble is that there are plenty of integrale's for sale on the continent for around €25k+. So £20k + for a car here looks good value to them - that's why so many are going across the channel back to whence they came. I suspect the advertised price has more than half an eye on that market rather than the domestic one. Shame, but these things ebb and flow. When I bought my Fanalone the exchange rate was about 1.5 so I got the benefit. Now I feel I am paying through the nose for those difficult to get bits.

I agree Brian. Although to counter that, I understand the Club Hi-Fi that Walkers had last month went for significantly over the £35K asking price. I know thats a sought after limited edition but all the same good integrales seem to have gone up by about 30% in the last 12 months.

I guess its a combination of limited supply of really good cars, exchange rates and money earning diddly squat in the bank.

But I still think its odd in times of economic hardship.

The moral of this tale is surely that if you have an Integrale, keep it and cherish it, because right now, apart from the intrinsic value it has as a fantastic car, its about the best financial investment you have (worth reminding SWMBO when work is needed).  And if work is needed, it makes sense to do it, because the investment will almost certainly be recouped.  Integrales are already heading off into the classic car stratosphere with B20s, Stratos, and the best Fanalones.  Those who bought and cherished good cars a few years ago have been very shrewd, even if they did not mean to be.  And review your insurance valuation!!

Good news for those who already have one I suppose. As well as the european  market I suspect there is also a 'Top Gear' effect at work here and as Andy said nice, un-molested cars are very few and far between.

Incidentally regarding the Walkers car (whilst wearing my anorak) being a UK car I thought it would have a 'montecarlo' badge on the L/H
side of the tailgate, it does look a lovely car though. Will have to check it out whilst we are on the Great Northern Weekend !

Walkers have had a white one for sale for a while now at 25,000 and a perlato if I remember correctly. There was a giallo in London with low mileage going for 40K !!, Thats isnt advertised anymore so was it sold ?
integrales in Portugal are all over 25K and with the R/E as it is the cars here would be very good value if not for the import tax.
The thing is if they are going up in value then great, lets not knock it, lets promote it.
When we decided to buy a grale a few years ago I took the wife to the subaru dealer and we drove a few and she loved them, BUT now 4 years later, the grale bought for 8500, is now worth 10K or more whilst the 14K subaru is worth around 5K

Still, with the MOT database we should be able to track (to an extent) the change in the numbers as they publish further years.

I don't know : on the one hand it's nice that it doesn't seem to have lost money but on the other I worry more about it being knocked in a supermarket! The other consideration is that if I did sell it the chances are I wouldn't be able to buy another ... not that I'm planning on that

 I have "agreed value" on the insurance for my dear but dodgy Integrale and AON want me to get it valued soon. I have no idea who to go to. I'm in SE London. Since Bazza (and his works) died I have no local experts.

Does it have to be a garage or can someone in authority in the club give a valuation ?
