did anybody here buy the restored s1 fulvia sport shell as advertised at european classic cars?it must have represented good value considering to the cost of the professional restoration mentioned.hopefully a straightforward job for the fortunate new owner now that the hardwork has been done

Hi Richard
Think Michael Lannie bought it, he mentioned in the Fulvia wanted section, Topic: Fulvia sport S1 Engine needed, that he had just bought a series 1 and wants an engine.
Shell looks great, shame about the sunroof.

That looks just like the one I delivered the other day. Couldn't possibly say where I took it though - buyer confidentiality!

Shouldn’t that rear valence be a bit lower? This is an original section Paul

And they have been at it a long time! Foreign parts too. Different truck, same client, but still confidential.

Yes I remember that trip to Holland Colin, although it must have been 22 years ago now. How could I forget being held up on the M25 by a wide load, then only just managing to get on the ferry and we had to bump the trailer sideways so they could shut the ferry doors. Then there were Julie's Irish coffees followed by trying to get an Aurelia transaxle down three flights of stairs on a spiral staircase, an interesting exercise to say the least!!!! Ade.

Colin, getting side tracked on cars transported, here is a photo of a Stratos on its way back from Germany for the late Roger Perry in 1989. We told the Customs man it was just and old car shell..........his eyes lit up........"ahhh a Stratos" and went back to his office to work out how much it was really worth!

Michael, I hope you have bought you friend who helped me unload it a drink. He didn't look too impressed when I told him we had to lift it out as it had no back wheels! You should have a really good car when it's finished as most of the hard work has been done...... but still lots to do! Good luck. Ade.
