i'm starting to do some work on my fulvia, now bear in mind its 1 titled lady owner from new, totally origional , never welded blah blah blah, i've just refurbed the wheels and fitted new tyres ready to go on once its painted, when i'd fitted the tyre's the lads that work for me burst out laughing and accused me of being sad when i produced origional ballance weights and valve caps to go back on, maybe it was because i got them to clean the weights with alloy wheel cleaner and the scotchbrite  Huh? anyway AM I SAD  Roll Eyes or would you have done the same???

I did exactly the same on my low mileage fulvia so you are no alone. I just love the metal valve caps...

Mind you I had the wheels balanced with weights on the inside....

being sad or wearing an anorak goes with the territory when you have hobbies like this;I have the same weights.

yey!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm an anorak  Grin , glad i'm not on my own with this topic, tim i used stick on weights on the inside and deflated the tyre to fit the origional weights so as not too mark the paint on the outside, my personal preferance would have been the same as yours with no visable weights however as i had the origional type i thought i'd fit them even though thanks to eu regs its actually now against the law to fit lead weights and they should be zinc  Roll Eyes .......... tripple the size and cost of the old weights!!!

My 2c wheels have a mounting on the back of the rims for mounting the weights, as I suspect do all series 1 Fulvia's.

There is one option - just remind all the lads at work that you are the boss and that nothing you do is ever the slightest bit eccentric or sad, and if they think otherwise, there's always Kwik Fit... Grin
