Hi All

Sorry if this has been answered somewhere else, but cannot find a definitive answer and so I thought I would start a new thread.

I have a 1977 reg Beta Spider in White and it has previously been resprayed (most of outside/not that well) in a different colour white (my body guy called it refrigirator white!).

So, the questions are

1) Can I identify what the original colour name and code were?

I have seen the cards posted here which appear to give a start for the car, but I have also read that the colours varied from year to year.

http://www.lancisti.net/index.php?pid=10

2) Having identified my colour, who should I approach for a modern version of it (recommendation)?

I have seen

http://web.me.com/geoffreyg/Cars/Blog/Entries/2007/6/24_Colors_-_Glasurit_and_Lancia.html

which looks useful.

This is my first time refurbing an old car so please be kind if the answers are obvious........

Thanks

From memory, which isn't the best, the colour code should be inside bootlid or tailgate
most were painted in Max Meyer,  there will be a base code with either a lighter or
darker shade. A good body shop will be able to match to the original.

I expect the "refrigerator" colour is Ford Diamond white an easy option if you can't
be bothered to check original colour.

there are a lot of good bodyshops around, depends on your location.

Hi Geoff

Thanks for the reply. I talked with my guy who is doing the work and he found the paint code in the glove box and had some old colour charts to look it up, so he is happy we should be able to get the original colour.

All the best
