I cant help but be suspicious when there are no documents or recent history. Or am I just being cynical?Also the Chassis number is not shown in the photos as far as I can see. Also a little worrying when there are no papers. From what I can remember, Belgium's paperwork and registering requirements for old cars is pretty rigorous so again why no papers?
The price seems quite low (at the moment) and I would have thought that one of the active Belgian Lancia members would have some previous knowledge of this car.

Wouldn't it be great if the International Collective of Clubs or whatever it's called had a register of cars that were stolen... We'd know in a couple of clicks, and they'd know we'd know in a couple of clicks.
Odds are its been well stored the last 20, 30, 40 years and the papers have not. The Strada Abarth I was given had only been put away for a couple of years, less than five, but it took him three years more for the papers to surface. A house move wasn't enough for them to surface, a sort through before moving abroad and he found them.
All the same the vendor could be more reassuring... Its human nature to want the back-story.

Nice car but I wonder if i'ts all that honest, there seems to be a lot of prep work carried out underneath, the tank has been sprayed with schults, I wonder what that's hiding ?. I'd say its been in storage for a long time but judging by the state of the door cards it must have been fairly damp. Still a nice project if you get it at the right money  |

So the seller (actually, it seems, the seller's agent) has responded to several questions on the ebay listing page.
The car is a B21, and the chassis number is B21-3532
On ownership and title, the replies are still a bit hazy, to my way of reading anyway. The line is that there are no papers because the car was bought with several others. I don't have to point out the flawed logic in this excuse to educated readers from the LMC...
Whatever the real story, I'm very tempted to take a ride up to North London to have a close look at the car; not with a view to purchasing it but to take some notes for my B10 restoration. If anyone wants a report on the car (as a potential buyer), then PM me.

There certainly seem to be some question marks about this car and its lack of history! One interesting feature is that it has been fitted with a second series 2000cc B20 engine (Two single Webber carbs and 3 rocker cover bolts) so would be 80 bhp as opposed to the original engines 70 bhp. It is a pity it has had underseal sprayed all over the underside, this only leads one to think it is a cover-up job!
As to your question Richard to which would be the safer bet this or Richard Thornes B20. I would have thought that the B21 Saloon could be on the road with a good going over, new brakes and clutch, so for say £3-4,000, then you would have a car worth about £25,000. The B20 would cost between £30-40,000 to restore and you would have a car worth £70-80,000. Obviously the B20 is the better financial bet, but would also take a lot longer to do, and the whole project would take much more time plus financial comitment.

Hi Tim you are right the car has made its way to me 3 months after it was on e-bay.
I need some help from anyone who can help.
I have done all the mechanical work on the car bar waiting for a new alternator from Peter Harding and a intermitted starter its running very well.
However the body seemed very fine and not too rusty but I have taken the wings of today to fix hanging front doors but have open Pandora’s box the A posts are very bad.
All the bottom section though very original and un-welded are rotten and there’s a few big holes leaving it very open to how or what was in there.
I have a very skilled man working on the metal work but I need some sort of diagram or pictures to see what the A-frames and bottom sections should look like as there is not enough metal left to use as templates to replicate new parts
All help would be appreciated
