Yes, but unlike many lesser cars where the cost of renovation far outweighs the final value, a good Flaminia GTL will fetch at least £25k and more like £35k on the continent - and they are appreciating fast at the moment. Dave Honeybun knows the business well and has priced this car accordingly. He knows that at this price there is still a chance of a little profit for a canny restorer. But at the end of the day it's about the feeling of satisfaction that restoring one of these gorgeous cars can generate. They embody the very best engineering quality that Lancia could muster and are certainly one of the best engineered cars of the period - so not cheap to fix.
