German wiring supplier

Does anyone here have any experience of a German supplier of looms called www.kabelgross.de ?

I'm about to launch into the rewiring of my '37 car ( 38-1-427 ) which came to me a couple of year ago from Portugal with a marvellous body but no wiring or electrical components present apart from dynamo and starter.  Not the first time this has 'happened' to me.  Unfinished restorations are a hazard as well as an opportunity!

I was planning to make up a loom myself, but a web search found these chaps selling them off the shelf for 500 Euros, which doesn't seem out of order given the labour that should be saved.  Assuming it's made accurately I suppose...

I've checked with them, and the loom is 6v (which is what I want), braided cable, but colour coded plastic under the braiding.

Anyone know of a UK alternative?

Loom?  Loom??   Much too modern, the wiring is simply gathered up underneath the metal covers just as in a Lambda.  The wiring circuit is very simple to do yourself. I have posted wiring diagrams in the technical thread.  Use thick multi-core wire though, with only six volts to play with you need the lowest possible resistance.  I suggest a minimum of 2.5 sq.mm. and thicker on the headlight and charging (dynamo to battery) circuits.  Originally, the wires were black (or possibly fawn cotton covered) with numbered tags at either end for identification.  As most of the wiring is hidden you could, I suppose, use different colours.  I think that a German firm would have great difficulty in making up a harness without having the car to hand.  If you don't want to tackle the job yourself find an aged auto-electrician to do it for you, he will only need the wiring diagram.  It will be worth getting the dynamo overhauled too.  It should be able to support the headlights (35W each) side lights and ignition and wipers an output of some 15amp total.

I logged on to these people's website and found that they were offering wiring looms for practically every pre-war car I could think of at a similar price.
Alarm bells ring as to their real expertise.....

500 Euro for the complete package!  Said aged electrician should be able to do it for much less I would have thought.   I guess they know their job though, all you have to do is to install it!!

If you check kabelgross on the web there are some comments that put me right off. Poor quality, refunds taking ages etc etc. I am not sure if they still exist.  Anyway, work will now be done here.

I made one for the Aurelia but the Eire alone costed me about £200
