I've just gone and lost a set of keys for my Beta Coupe and I can't begin to tell you how annoyed I am with myself for being so careless with them today, after having had them for 30 years! Thank goodness I have a spare set, that I got cut only 25 years ago! However that's the only set left now.

Help!!!!!!! Can anyone tell me where I can get another set of keys cut? Hopefully the ingition key won't be too much of a problem, but how about the door key? Where on earth can you get one of those cut - not the kind of job the local locksmith or key cutting shop can do?

Thanks to anyone who's got any suggestions.

Hi Alan,
don't know your location but, County Locksmiths have the correct cutter for Lancia keys.
I should think that older/longer established companies may still have the equipment
best to get out the old yellow pages.

Thanks very much Geoff. Any idea whether County Locksmiths have the blanks for the door keys too? By the way which County are they based in?

County Locksmiths are Hampshire, I also know of a guy (integrale chap) who can cut keys, Locks Heath, Southampton

both keep blanks, I had some cut last year for a Gamma owner in Germany.
They have the proper dimples rather than just a drilled pit.

Unfortunately I couldn't get to County Locksmiths at a convenient time, but to cut a long story short, I did manage to get two new sets of keys cut by a specialist locksmith company based down in Margate. Access Lock & Key Service were extremely helpful and did a 1st class job. I can highly recommend them.

In case anybody else needs some new door keys cut, the blank key you will need is a Silca, type: GT2P. Your original key may have a 4 digit number on it from which the computerised key cutting machine can cut you an exact replica. Alternatively, take the original key with you to the shop, or take one of the locks down there with you. I took the lock to the boot lid with me, as it was dead easy to remove and put back afterwards.

Access Lock & Key Service are at 34-36 Canterbury Road, Westbrook, Margate, Kent CT9 5BN. Tel. 01843-209200 and ask for Peney Reynolds (Workshop & Technical Manager).
