Flexible couplings
«
on:

Does anyone have a recommendation for a place to buy flexible driveshaft couplings ?
If not, I will follow up John Turner's recommendation to contact GKN, on the previous thread about this.
Anyone got a dimensioned drawing they can post ?
Thanks,
Nick

Cavalitto supply perfect reproductions and were much cheaper than uk sourced alternatives.www.lanciaricambi.it
part "438-0235R Giunto transmissione" .
Enrico understands (and replies ) in reasonable english.best ask if they have stock.Ususally you have the parts in a few days.
these transformed my car as my originals were completely shot but my original posting with photos is deleted I fear.

I second William's comments, the couplings from Cavalitto are excellent.

You could try GMS
http://www.gmspolymer.co.uk/flexible-couplings.htm
They may have a standard size.

The GMS couplings seem to be missing the bushes which are essential if you are going to be able to pull the bolts up properly without distortion; and the Cavalitto couplings are fitted with new spigot centres. These too are essential if you are going to get it true. You may be able to swop the bushes and the centres from your original coupling but they will be worn.

John's point is important.Given the serious vibrations that develop when these couplings are not in good condition the various centering bushes and forms are not something to get approximately right in an attempt to copy. I certainly wouldn't risk spoiling the cars ride when the trouble has been taken to reproduce such an obscure part with a perfect reproduction.
