Brian/Andy,

This is unfortunately what happened to my Dedra 2.0ie SE in early '95. A culmination of a humped back bridge, black ice with a light snow covering, immediate sharp right hander and a farmers dry stone wall, despite my best efforts led to the demise of this vehicle.

Paul.

Paul,
Not surprised having the number plate that way around, it must have got confused Grin

seriously though, such a shame, I was lucky as I never had an accident in any of mine, more a case of luck than judgement, but I gave my black auto to my brother, who loaned it to his brother in law, (are you still with me!) who wrote it off when he got T boned, when someone came out of a side turning, didn't even tell me he'd had the accident until it had been scrapped, and too late for me to get it back for spares, I was bloody annoyed as I'd bought it as a repairable write off, I'd got hold of 2 replacement nearside doors and front wing & John Brain got it all put back together again,  at the time I spent £2k getting back on the road and that's not counting the £650 I paid for it,  as Autos are like hens teeth I would have donated the spares to TDC.
It's the one on the right from the rear, and on the left of the previous photo of my 2 Black Dedra's together.

I had a YAN registered Dedra a few years back too. G725YAN. A Met blue 1600. Great car. Alloys, PAS but no rear headrests or rear sunblinds.

I think all the original Fiat registered Dedras were YAN's. Being in the network at the time, I remember that we just got allocated a Dedra for demo, pre registered by Fiat UK. The dealer had no say in what engine, spec or colour they got! So all the dealer cars, the Fiat company car stock and the press fleet were G... YAN.

Shame about your SE ... I wonder how the What Car test 3series or Audi 80 would have faired in a similar incident?
