Black Delta a couple of days ago (can't remember where), and today, a J-plate integrale heading south on the M5.

Called in to a nursery to pick up some plants today and as I left noticed the same UK registered Thesis that I've spotted around Shrewsbury before. Had a chat with the elderly gent that owns it, who it turns out is originally from San Marino (he has a RSM identifier on the rear). He takes the Thesis back every summer. First time I've seen on close up and in the flesh and I have to admit it's very special, with real presence. I mentioned that the AGM/National Rally will be just round the corner and he's going to try and come along.
Also spotted the same 2WD Delta that I saw a few weeks ago, this time in Frankwell, Shrewsbury by the English Bridge. It's a red J reg HFie with an AIM badge on the grill and driven by a lady.
These are the only Lancia's I've seen for some weeks, if I look out of my back door, sadly there's not a single one to be seen!

Nice Flavia Sedan in Enstone, Oxfordshire first thing this morning. Not sure who was more surprised me or the Flavia driver seeing a Zagato at that time of day

Spotted a Beta coupe heading down the hill into Box just after 8am this morning. The colour was not quite red, not quite brown - what I would have ordinarily called... well... "rust". Looked in good nick. I took too long inspecting the grille "Is it or isn't it a Lancia?" to be able to wave.

Cheating a bit. Kept seeing black Fulvia HF in rear view mirror while towing back from Slovenia, via Austria, Germany and France. 1700kms each way. Tip. Avoid Germany, roadworks are never ending.

ok, we towed the HF to the start of the Marathon and back home again, a round trip of 3,400kms. In between the car covered some 2,500kms of difficult competition owing to the bad weather. It rained pretty well non-stop for six days, enough to create huge washaways on the narrow unmade mountain roads. We finished fortieth out of sixty two but I should have done better considering how well the car went. The event was won outright by an Alfa Romeo Guilia.
