As I am unable to get to it myself at the moment, would any member in the Oxfordshire area be in a position to view a Zagato for sale in Wallingford that I am interested in buying?

Hi Alan,
i'm not too far from Wallingford and may be able help, also got a Zagato and used to work on them for a living so would be able to give you a honest description.
Seen the car advertised and look's like a huge jos unless you're thinking of a donor car?

It dosen't look to bad in the pictures, somebody had great hopes of restoring it at some stage, got started and never finished. It dosen't say if there is a lot of sparse with it ? Best of luck with it.  |

Thanks to Tony and John for advising on this specimen which sold for €2200 last night. I was there at the end of the auction and contributed recklessly to the final outcome with some frantic (literally) last minute bidding, followed by the overwhelming relief of being outbid. Phew! Did anyone here buy it?

Another lucky escape ! Its Normally a few glasses of wine towards the end of bidding that cause the problems.£1800, £1900, £2000, £2100, £2200, Ah! what the hell, lets go £2300 I know I've Been there !  |

Hi Not sure if any of you use this system (or may not approve even!), but if I have an Ebay item I want to bid on then I setup an auto bidder for the item, load it with the amount I am happy with and leave it to get on with the job. This saves all the last minute should I, shouldn't I and getting carried away with it. It also has the benefit of only bidding at the last minute (literally the last few seconds) which can help on the price.... The one I have used for many years is www.bidnapper.com, not expensive and has saved me a fair amount of money in my view over that time. You have to pay a nominal amount for each year, but, for me, it saves me many times that amount so no complaints about it. Peter |

Essential for serious bidders but takes some of the buzz out of the blood sport that can be an eBay auction ending if you ask me.
I wonder how it handles competing bidders/snipers at the limit of their common indicated max bid?

i've used Auction Sniper for years, can be very handy when no one else knows there's another bidder, at least that way you don't get the bid pushed up & up as you do when 2 or more people are bidding openly. I try to use it sensibly and only use it for items I really need. Brian 8227  |
