Well, forgive me if I have missed something and this is old news, but I hadn't realised that Chrysler Delta pricing had been released. Having a lunchtime trawl of the net I came accross this dealer site, with full Delta model range and pricing details. http://www.pentagon-jeep.co.uk/new-cars/chrysler/delta Interesting reading ....... pricing looks competitive against Focus and Golf, but is it competitive enough, and will incentives be available from the start? Andy

There was a short piece in Autocar a couple of months back reporting prices, but not in this detail, and not with a breakdown of the range. Pricing does seem ambitious, whilst the range of engines seems anything but, with none of the more powerful diesel or petrol engines available on the continent. The most powerful engine is the 140 bhp 1.4 multiair, which by modern norms is pretty ordinary, even if it is very light on fuel. And the only diesel is the 120 bhp.

Looking at the specs, manual air con is standard on all models Brian - over £21k is (I think) for climate control

Twenty five and a half grand! Words fail me. There are cheaper, better, diesel saloons with a lot more than 165bhp for that money. The petrol multiair variants look reasonably well priced, but the top spec diesel is extortionate.

The UK prices are in line with the prices on the continent. My 1.9 Twin-Turbo Platino (including import and cost of flights, ferry, registration etc) came in at about £28,000. I am rather surprised that the 1.9 Twin-Turbo is not listed though I guess that my car will remain slightly unique within the UK

I picked up a brochure for the Chrysler Delta and have a breakdown of engines and spec. The range consists of the following engines:
1.4 T-Jet 120HP (Petrol) 1.4 M-Air 140HP (Petrol) 1.6 M-Jet 120HP (Diesel) 2.0 M-Jet 165HP (Diesel)
The Chrysler model range is as follows (Lancia spec in brakets):
S (Argento) SE (Oro) SR (Platino) Limited (Executive)
I noticed the following things when I was looking at the car (not including that fact that the grille and Chrysler badge on the rear hatch look both wrong and out of place):
The headrests in the car have now changed and become fatter (with the Chrysler badge embossed). On the Lancia, there are badges on the rear corner on each side of the car, at the point where the trim rises up to the "flying bridge" roof. There are no badges at this point on the Chrysler. There is a different Blue&Me MP3 system to the one in my Lancia.
All the Lancia colours are available on the Chrysler range, even retaining the same names for the colours. The only difference that I am unsure of is that there is an option of a gloss black roof. This option may have recently been introduced to the Lancia range but it was not available either when I ordered my car, or when I returned to Auto Halan at the start of this year.
I did notice that there is one Lancia reference in the brochure. In the Interior Trim pictures, the photo for the cloth seats has the Lancia badge embossed in the headrest!

Just looked up my nearest Dealer who is 20 miles away in Stevenage, at least it's no worse than the Fiat Dealer is now about the same distance away in Bletchley Milton Keynes. I tried to order a Delta Brochure on line (Nothing available re Ypsilon as yet) but came up with an error message on Chrysler UK (Fiat) site, so it looks like a trip to Stevenage! The Chrysler UK site gives Models Specs and Prices for the Delta. Brian 8227

I notice on the engine specs there is no mention of the 1.4 T jet 150 that I have. My model oro with satnav etc. would have cost 27,000 euros new. The exchange rate these last couple of years have made buying in the Continent falsely expensive. Having said that, I have no intention of ever buying the Chrysler . I would go back to Germany for the Lancia version. Badge and radiator changing is not for me. I want Lancia on the V5 and on the tax disc.

Actually I bought my lancia Delta second hand. One year old with 10,000 K for 17,000 euros. To bring it back to UK change the headlights' fog and rear light. VCA certificate and UK reg., was about another £1,200. I had hankered after getting one a bit more powerfull in red. In memory of my old Flavia I had for 30 years, but nostalgia comes at a price. I think I will now wait to see what models come out in the next couple of years

I notice on the engine specs there is no mention of the 1.4 T jet 150 that I have. Presumably replaced in the range by the 140 Multi-air, which is a relatively new engine, and wouldn't have been around for that long?
